CRUISE
NUMBER 		Unique numerical code for each cruise. Specific to a vessel and season. Five digits, where first 2 digits indicate vessel, next 2 year, last digit season. For example 24142 = Tenacious II 2014 fall survey or 25151 = Mary Elizabeth 2015 spring survey. If last digit = 3 it is an experimental survey trip
STATION
NUMBER 		Unique sequential order in which stations have been completed, unique to each cruise code. Failed gear deployments each receive a non-repeated consecutive number.
COMMON_NAME
VARCHAR2 		A standard common name which represents a species caught. Refer to the SVDBS.SVSPECIES_LIST
SVSPP
NUMBER 		A standard code which represents a species caught. Refer to the SVDBS.SVSPECIES_LIST
LENGTH
NUMBER 		Measured length of species in millimeters (mm). Measure method differs by species.
WEIGHT
NUMBER 		Weight of the current organism (kg)
SEX
NUMBER 		Code indicating sex of fish or invertebrate species. See SVDBS.FSCS_SEX_CODES. Codes 0, 1, 2 and 4 are the only valid codes in fscs tables.
MATURITY
VARCHAR2 		Stage of maturation of the organism being sampled. See SVDBS.FSCS_MATURITY_CODES. For skates see FSCS2.ORGANISM_ACTION_PARAMETERS.ORGANISM_ACTION_ID = 356 AND 357
FISH_ID
NUMBER 		Unique numerical code assigned to age samples taken from a specimen
GONAD_WT
NUMBER 		Weight of both gonads of the current organism (g)
LIVER_WT
NUMBER 		Weight of the liver of the current organism (g)
GUTTED_WT
NUMBER 		Weight of the current organism with organs removed (kg)
COMMENTS
VARCHAR2 		Comments associated with the current organism
AGE
NUMBER 		Age of specimen in years
EST_LENGTH
VARCHAR2 		Binary indicator of whether the length of an organism was measured (N) or estimated by otolith back-calculation (Y)
AUDIT_FLAG
VARCHAR2 		Binary flag that indicates a data issue was identified during the audit (if = Y), with details provided in the comments field. It may indicate a data field that is not recommended for use in analysis.
