Unique ID for CTDCASTID: typically cruise/MISSION ID, last 4 digits of CTD serial number, date and cast number/id.

Unique numeric ID for each depth bin within a CTD cast (6-digit number).

Unique numeric ID of CTD cast (4 or 5-digit number).

An identifier for the fixed climate site associated with the CTD cast, if any. An OCC_SITEID is a 3-dimensional identifier that describes a location (LATITUDE and LONGITUDE) and depth of a fixed NCRMP climate site and includes "OCC" prefix, a 3-letter location code (derived from LOCATIONCODE), and a 3-digit site number. CTD casts are assigned an associated OCC_SITEID (ASSOC_OCC_SITEID) rather than an OCC_SITEID because the CTD profile includes the entire water column rather than a single depth on the benthos. A CTD cast is assigned an ASSOC_OCC_SITEID only if its coordinates are within a 150-m radius of a pre-existing OCC_SITEID; otherwise, no ASSOC_OCC_SITEID is assigned.

An identifier for the ecological site at the island or atoll (LOCATION) associated with the CTD cast. Combines a 3-letter island code (derived from LOCATIONCODE) with a 2-4 digit site number.

The name of the region where the CTD cast was conducted in the Pacific Islands region: American Samoa, Pacific Remote Island Areas, Mariana Archipelago, Main Hawaiian Islands, Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.

3-Letter unique code for LOCATION.

Name of island or atoll where the CTD cast was conducted in the Pacific Islands region (REGION).

Latitude in decimal degrees, WGS84, for the CTD cast.

Longitude in decimal degrees, WGS84, for the CTD cast.

UTC date and time of CTD cast (yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss).

4-digit year the CTD cast was conducted (UTCDATETIME).

CTD cast was/was not (YES/NO) conducted offshore, where offshore is defined as a cast location (LATITUDE and LONGITUDE) more than 10km away from land (for islands) or the 20m depth contour (for atolls).

NCRMP survey design associated with the CTD cast. Survey designs include: casts conducted at permanent climate sites (Permanent); casts co-located with fish or benthic stratified random survey sites (Stratified_Random); casts at random sites not associated with climate, benthic, or fish sites (Random); and casts conducted offshore to collect end member data (End_member).

Measured pressure value in decibars.
