The lidar survey presents digital elevation data sets of a bald earth surface model covering Lincoln County, Wisconsin. The lidar data was acquired in May/June of 2008 using an Optech ALTM 3100EA lidar system. The spatial coordinate system of the original delivery was NAD_1983_HARN_WISCRS_Lincoln_County_Feet using the Geoid03 model. The data were reduced back to geographic coordinates in ellipsoid heights in meters.

Abstract: |
The lidar survey presents digital elevation data sets of a bald earth surface model covering Lincoln County, Wisconsin. The lidar data was acquired in May/June of 2008 using an Optech ALTM 3100EA lidar system. The spatial coordinate system of the original delivery was NAD_1983_HARN_WISCRS_Lincoln_County_Feet using the Geoid03 model. The data were reduced back to geographic coordinates in ellipsoid heights in meters. |
Purpose: |
The lidar surface models and contours depicts geographic features on the earths surface and is intended for reference within a Geographic Information System environment. |

Process Steps
Process Step 1
Description: |
The production of LIDAR bald earth DEM's and contours requires a LIDAR survey, LIDAR sensor calibration, data processing, ground control and ortho-rectified images. An Optech ALTM 3100EA LIDAR system was used flying at 4400ft agl with a 22deg scan angle and 40% sidelap for an avg raw point density of 2.7ft |

Process Date/Time: | 2008-08-08 00:00:00 |
Process Step 2
Description: |
NOAA downloaded LAZ format data from USGS for ingest into the Digital Coast Data Access Viewer. Data were converted to geographic coordinates NAD83(HARN) and ellipsoid heights in meters. |
