Oracle user who made a change to the transaction table record. |
CHANGED_BY
VARCHAR2 |
Oracle user who made a change to the transaction table record. |
DATE_CHANGED
DATE |
Timestamp of change to transaction record. |
CRUISE
NUMBER |
Sequence generated by Norpac and supplied to the observer as an unique identifier for an observer cruise record. |
MATURITY_SEQ
NUMBER |
Sequence generated unique identifier of a maturity record. |
SPECIES_CODE
NUMBER |
Unique identifier for a species imported from Norpac, and the FK value from species_maturity. |
LENGTH_SEQ
NUMBER |
Sequence generated unique identifier for a length record |
SPECIMEN_SEQ
NUMBER |
Sequence generated unique identifier of a specimen record |
SPECIMEN_TYPE
NUMBER |
Unique numeric value for a specimen type record. |
SPECIMEN_NUMBER
VARCHAR2 |
A specimen number is unique for a cruise/permit combination (effective 01/01/2014). Duplicate specimen numbers indicate multiple specimen types collected for the same fish. In the case of an otolith (type 1 specimen) the barcode may or may not be the specimen number. The specimen number identifies the fish and the barcode is now an added attribute. Current protocol only requires specimen number to be unique for a cruise/permit, so some users are still using barcode as specimen number; however the 'best practice' is to start at '1' for a cruise and ascend from there for all specimen types and species. |
WEIGHT
NUMBER |
Weight in kg of the specimen. Effective 01/01/2014, otoliths, scales, and stomachs no longer have a weight associated with the specimen record; instead a separate specimen (type 3) is entered for the same specimen number. |
AGE
NUMBER |
Age of the animal (Specimen) in years. |
SPECIAL_PROJECT_CODE
VARCHAR2 |
Identifier of a special project record. Project to be a three character acronym unique to the project for a cruise. |
PERMIT
VARCHAR2 |
Unique Code identifying a vessel or Processor - inherited from the NORPAC data set and created by the RAM division in Juneau |
BARCODE
NUMBER |
Whenever a barcode is printed on a vial (otolith) or bag (tag and bag) this attribute contains the value. |
