NOAA Fisheries announces preliminary fishery harvest estimates from the 2024 non-Tribal directed commercial Pacific halibut fishery's first fishing period. The total allocation for this fishery is 249,338 pounds (113 mt), net weight (all weights are shown in net weight).
- Fishing period #1 (June 25–27): 115,000 pounds (52.2 mt)
- An estimated 54%, or 134,000 pounds (60.8 mt) remain

Upcoming Fishing Periods
- Fishing period #2: July 9 at 8:00 a.m. to July 11 at 6:00 p.m. Fishing period limits are the same as during the first fishing period.
- After the second fishing period, NOAA Fisheries will assess inseason estimates to determine if a third fishing period is needed to reach the allocation. If a third fishing period is established, it will occur no sooner than 3 weeks after the second fishing period. Fishing period limits for a third fishing period would be announced in conjunction with fishing period dates.
