Alexa Cacacie
Alexa Cacacie is a Marine Resource Management Specialist with the Habitat and Ecosystem Services division based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Alexa is responsible for Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) consultations for coastal Massachusetts. Alexa holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Maine Maritime Academy. After her undergraduate education, she worked as a North Pacific Fisheries Observer in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, which inspired her to pursue a career in fisheries. In May, Alexa received her Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of New England, where her research specialized in habitat use of Rainbow Smelt (Osmerus mordax) over ontogeny utilizing chemical patterns from otoliths.
