Brandon Beltz
Brandon Beltz is a NOAA affiliate working as a scientific data analyst for the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. He manages the data and backend processes for the Mid-Atlantic and New England State of the Ecosystem reports. He earned a BS in Biology from Grand Valley State University and an MS in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences from SUNY Stony Brook.
Brandon is broadly interested in improving the quality and accessibility of scientific data for use in decision making processes. He is particularly focused on reducing the barriers scientists face when contributing information used for decision support. His primary goal is to incorporate cutting edge data tools and techniques into existing workflows to improve the interface between scientists and ecosystem managers.
