Bridget St. Amand
After studying the effects of plastic monomers on zebrafish development for her thesis, Bridget was inspired to pursue work in fisheries science. Since then she has followed her passion and explored different avenues of fisheries, from aquaculture to educating the public about fisheries and natural resources. In the past several years, this has meant supporting the Northeast Fisheries Science Center's Fisheries Monitoring and Research Division and the Northeast Fisheries Observer Program in various capacities. Bridget strives to ensure observers receive the support they need to successfully perform their duties in an ever challenging environment. Together, and in partnership with the fishing industry, they help guarantee sustainable fisheries for future generations.
