Gabrielle A. Clardy-Pryor
Gabrielle earned her BS in Biology from Old Dominion University (ODU). She worked in the invertebrate lab of ODU examining harmful algae blooms in the Chesapeake Bay. Following her internship, she became a fisheries observer which gave her the opportunity to deploy on longline fishing vessels in the southeast. She also received her PSO certification and worked as a Protected Species Observer on various dredging and construction projects. During the summer, she worked for Quantech Inc. as a dockside interviewer for the Large Pelagic Intercept Survey in Virginia Beach, Va. In 2021, Gabrielle began working as the Assistant Area Lead for the groundfish program at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Her goals are to bridge the gap between industry and the observer program to create a beneficial and safe working relationship.
