LCDR Emily Rose
LCDR Rose has previously worked for NOAA Fisheries providing Geographic Information Systems support to fishery biologists, recovery coordinators, and branch supervisors in Santa Rosa, CA. Prior to joining the Lasker, she worked with the Center for Coasts, Oceans, and Geophysics, within the National Centers for Environmental Information, assisting data managers who create solutions to technological, bureaucratic, and budgetary issues and concerns.
LCDR Rose is a member of NOAA's Leadership Competencies Development Program Class XI and holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management from American Military University, a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and an associate’s degree from Santa Rosa Junior College. She also maintains a United States Coast Guard 1600 GRT Third Mate License and is a NOAA Working Diver. She enjoys running, road and mountain biking, playing any sports (particularly soccer, tennis, and ice hockey), and reading.
