Background
Min-Yang received a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics in 2010. While at Illinois, he was received a Sea Grant C NMFS fellowship in Marine Resource Economics. He joined the Northeast Fisheries Science Center in July of 2009. While at the NEFSC, he has been fortunate to conduct research on fish prices and the groundfish recreational fishery.
Research
Min-Yang's research typically focuses on the markets and regional economies. His current research includes an examination of the economic geography of the scallop fishery, econometric examination of the ex-vessel scallop market, and an investigation of the quota market for the scallop fishery.
