Sarah Bland
Sarah began her career with NOAA Fisheries in 2009 and has worked on a variety of issues, including Mid-Atlantic and recreational fisheries issues, cooperative research, and groundfish. Before joining NOAA Fisheries, Sarah worked as an At-Sea Monitor for a commercial fishing organization, a Fisheries Assistant for a state marine fisheries agency, and a Research Assistant at the University of Rhode Island. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to becoming the Deputy Regional Administrator in December 2022, Sarah was the Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries and also the Groundfish Branch Chief.
