NOAA Fisheries will hold a meeting of the Permanent Advisory Committee (PAC) on October 21-23, 2024, to advise the U.S. Commissioners to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission. This meeting is open to the public and will be conducted via web conference.
If you are interested in attending the meeting or receiving meeting materials, please fill out the meeting interest form by October 7, 2024.
Meeting topics may include:
- Outcomes of the 2024 sessions of Scientific Committee, Northern Committee, and Technical and Compliance Committee
- Issues to be considered in the WCPFC 2024 annual session
- Potential U.S. proposals to the WCPFC 2024 annual session
Input and advice from the PAC on issues that may arise at the WCPFC 2024 annual session
Members of the public may submit written comments on meeting topics or materials in advance of the meeting. Comments must be received by October 7, 2024. Meeting documents will be emailed in advance of the conference call.

What is the Permanent Advisory Committee?
The PAC is composed of individuals from groups concerned with the fisheries covered by the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Convention. It provides recommendations to the U.S. Commissioners to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission on the deliberations and decisions of the Commission. The committee was established under the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Convention Implementation Act (16 U.S.C. 6901 et seq.).
