Professional History
Gillian is primarily interested in parasites; however, she is also interested in animal behavior which started when she volunteered at Zoo Atlanta training birds. Previous research focused on the interactions between native and invasive crustacean species both in Atlanta, Georgia and Bogotá, Colombia. Her overarching interest is where environmental, animal and public health intersect; her current project at the Milford Lab includes aspects of all three through the intersection of aquaculture and fish behavior.
