Alicia Billings
Background
Alicia received a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Kansas in 2001. Before joining the FRAM-FEAT team in 2011, Alicia worked as a Fisheries Observer in both the North Pacific and the West Coast programs, as well as with the EPA, US Forestry Service, and the US Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Current Research
Alicia's primary research focuses on the biological and ground truthing side of the Hake Acoustic and Trawl Survey. She has been working on refining underwater camera operations, fish maturity, and diet analysis. She is also interested in how to incorporate better data efficiency to speed up the data delivery process for integration with the acoustic data.
