Karen Greene
Karen Greene has been with the Habitat and Ecosystem Services Division since 1993 working in the New Jersey field office within the Northeast Fisheries Science Center's James J. Howard Marine Sciences Laboratory. Her primary focus has been to provide advice and guidance to federal agencies on avoiding, minimizing, and offsetting adverse impacts to coastal fish habitats through a number of consultation authorities such as the Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act and the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act. Karen is also the Essential Fish Habitat Coordinator for the Greater Atlantic Region working with the Office of Habitat Conservation and other regional coordinators on national EFH issues. She has a BS and MS in Environmental Science, both from Rutgers University.
