NOAA NEFSC North Atlantic Right Whale Acoustic Data and Annotations

These datasets are a compilation of acoustic data and associated annotation logs, collected in the Western North Atlantic Ocean, including the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.
These two datasets were annotated for the presence of baleen whale calls in the Western North Atlantic Ocean. The first dataset was manually browsed in Raven 1.5 and annotated for North Atlantic right whale upcalls, humpback song, sei whale downsweeps, fin whale 20-Hz pulses, minke pulse trains, and blue whale A/B/AB calls. It was originally part of the 2013 DCLDE (Detection, Classification, Localization, and Density Estimation) conference datasets. All log files are from the same site (site 10, corresponding to channel 10 in multichannel data files) for the entire data week.
The second dataset includes an additional week of data that was annotated for North Atlantic right whales from multiple dates and locations. Each day of data was manually browsed in Raven 1.5 and all upcalls were logged (for multichannel data, only one channel was analyzed and logged; the channel logged is indicated in the corresponding csv file).
In the "Detection_Confidence" field, definite calls are marked as "Detected" and possible or unknown detections (i.e., when a call could not be definitely attributed to a North Atlantic right whale) are marked as "Possibly_Detected".
Acoustic data and analysis provided by NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center's Passive Acoustics Branch; upcall logs annotated by Nicole Pegg and updated by Alexandra Carroll (Naval Undersea Warfare Center), call logs for all other baleen whale species were annotated by Alexandra Carroll.
