Review of Social Impact Assessment Included in National Environmental Policy Act Documents Related to Marine Social Impact Assessment

This report explores the structure and content of existing social impact assessments for fisheries management under the National Environmental Policy Act, with the goal of understanding what works well and how to build on past approaches.
The purpose of this report is to summarize key elements of the social impact assessments that are included in twenty-four recent ocean-related National Environmental Policy Act documents, in order to facilitate dialogue regarding the structure, content, design approaches, and presentation of assessments in these documents.
