This status review responds to a September 18, 2014 petition from the Natural Resources Defense Council to list the Gulf of Mexico (GOMx) population of Bryde's whale, Balaenoptera edeni, as an endangered distinct population segment (DPS) under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and to designate critical habitat.
