National ESA Critical Habitat Mapper
All available spatial data of critical habitat proposed and designated by NOAA Fisheries under the Endangered Species Act
The National ESA Critical Habitat Mapper (Application) allows you to interactively view all available critical habitat spatial data. Metadata can be viewed in NMFS’ InPort. Geographic Information System (GIS) users can access the map service for all species, web services for individual species, or download all available spatial data and metadata as a geodatabase. For Regional consultations and analyses, please use the Regional spatial data applications, which are available for the Alaska, West Coast, Southeast, and Greater Atlantic Regions.
For each critical habitat dataset, the proposed or final rule and Code of Federal Regulations (see attribute table within Mapper, Geodatabase, or web services for individual species) should be consulted for the complete description of the proposed or final critical habitat.
For more information or questions about these data, please contact the NMFS Protected Resources Division GIS Team: nmfs.prd.gis.team@noaa.gov
